Current Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student Emily Ward, BSN, RN, MBA, was recently named the 2020 recipient of the Iowa Organization for Nursing Leadership (IONL) scholarship.

Ward, associate chief nurse executive at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, will utilize the funding from the IONL scholarship to invest in her DNP education.

“I have been a part of IONL/AONL for several years and appreciate all they do at the local, state and national level,” said Ward. “Providing resources such as this helps students pursue their academic endeavors and achieve their goals.”  

Ward will be recognized for winning the IONL scholarship during the opening of the clinical track at the Iowa Hospital Association’s annual meeting, which will be held virtually on October 6.
