Dr. Ford graduated from the University of Iowa with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2022. She practices clinically as a nurse anesthetist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Stead Family Children's Hospital. Dr. Ford joined the nurse anesthesia program faculty in 2023. 

Dr. Ford is a member of the Iowa Association of Nurse Anesthetists and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She a member of the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) standard setting committee and has presented at several local, state, and national meetings.
