The Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL) recently learned that it won the 2018 AONE Affiliate Achievement Award. Jennifer Nutt is currently the director of IONL. In addition to this executive leadership role, Nutt has more than 10 years of nursing experience in the inpatient setting and holds two degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice focusing on Health Systems—both from the University of Iowa.
“This UI College of Nursing alumna is leading Iowa into national prominence in nursing administration and health systems leadership,” said Diane Huber, PhD, RN, FAAN, director of HS DNP at the college.
This significant award honors an affiliate that promotes nursing leadership and its influence in the areas of the advancement of nursing practice, patient safety and quality, recruitment and retention, or another priority initiative for that particular state/region, and can serve as a model for other state or regions with similar interests.
