Diversity Committee

Mission:
To reinforce the tenets of the CON Seven Pillars of Diversity by providing guidance, resources, and leadership that reflects a broad view of diversity, advancing the college’s capacity to:

1. Build more humane relationships across different generations and life experiences, 
2. Engage in meaningfully civil and brave dialogues on important social issues that impact health equity, psychological safety and belonging within our college and UI community
3. Celebrate without judgement our shared and different identities, perspectives, and life experiences.
4. Support the intellectual and practice growth of our nursing students, faculty, and staff to be more culturally responsive in the delivery of care and/or services, programs, research, and service
5.  Model ongoing commitment, respect, and accountability for creating and sustaining a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible work and learning environment that reflects the profession of nursing.
